REBATE PROGRAM $100 FOR ALL FRONT LOADING WASHING MACHINE AND CERTAIN MODELS OF TOP LOADING WASHING MACHINES

 WILL THERE BE A LIMIT TO THE NUMBER OF REBATES A HOUSEHOLD CAN RECEIVE? Yes. The District will grant one rebate per household.

 WHAT KIND OF WASHER MUST I PURCHASE? The washing machine must be either a front loading model or a top loading model with a Water Factor of 6 or less. The Water Factor is an indicator of how effectively a particular machine uses water. The number is determined by testing and the EPA publishes the Water Factors for all machines on the EnergyStar Website  energystar.gov

WHAT PROOF OF PURCHASE IS REQUIRED? A copy of the store receipt must be attached to the application.

 HOW WILL THE REBATE BE GRANTED? The customer will receive a check for the rebated amount. Please note that rebates will not be granted to customers whose water bills are in arrears. Please be patient for the rebate check as we wait until several applications have been submitting before processing.

 IS THIS PROGRAM AVAILABLE FOR COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES? No. Residential property owners only will be granted rebates.

I hereby certify that I am a residential customer of the Dedham-Westwood Water District (the District) and that I am the property owner of the above referenced residential property. I agree to install the toilet(s) and/or washing machine that I purchase under this agreement at the property address above. The maximum number of toilets eligible for rebate is two. The toilet(s) must replace toilet(s) that currently use 3.5 gallons or more per flush. The toilet must be purchased after May 1, 2005 and the washing machines after September 12, 2006 to be eligible for this offer. I have attached the invoices. Also, in order to be eligible for this program, I understand that my account must be current and that my meter be replaced if requested by the District (no charge for this).

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless and defend the District and all of its commissioners, officers, agents, employees or authorized agents, employees or authorized representatives from any claims, suits, actions, losses or liability of every kind, nature and description, including but not limited to, the delivery, installation, product malfunction, plumbing malfunction, maintenance or use of toilets purchased through this program.

I agree to install the toilet(s) that I purchase under this agreement at the above property address within sixty days of the date of purchase. I will also allow the District to inspect the installation of the toilet(s) within six months of installation. If access for an inspection is denied, the District will charge the water bill account for the amount of the rebate granted.

* A High Efficiency Toilet is one that uses 1.28 gallons per flush or less. All WaterSense labeled Toilets meet this criterion. To verify if your toilet is a high efficiency one, check the manufacturer’s product information. The Water Factor assigned to a top load washing machine is available on the manufacturers product information and on the EnergyStar website. Please call Iva Conte,Water Conservation Coordinator at 781-461-2788 if you need help making this determination.

 

TOILET REBATE PROGRAM

 

AMOUNT OF REBATE OR COUPON - The Water District will offer rebates of $50 per low flow toilet purchased after May 1, 2005 and $75 for High Efficiency Toilets using 1.28 gallons per flush or less.

WILL THERE BE A LIMIT TO THE NUMBER OF REBATES A HOUSEHOLD CAN RECEIVE? Yes. The District will grant up to two rebates per household.

WHAT KIND OF TOILET MUST I INSTALL? The toilet must be a water efficient model with a maximum water usage of 1.6 gallons per flush. The customers should research available models for the most efficient model to meet their needs. www.epa.gov/watersense/pp.find_het.htm

WHAT IS THE PROOF OF PURCHASE REQUIRED? The bill for the fixture(s) must be attached to the application. Since the District wants an assurance that the toilet has, in fact, been installed, the plumbing installation may be inspected. 

HOW WILL THE REBATE BE GRANTED? The customer will receive a check for the rebated amount. Please note that rebates will not be granted to customers whose water bills are in arrears or whose water meters need to be replaced(no charge for this)..

WATERLESS URINAL REBATE PROGRAM
INFORMATION SHEET

 AMOUNT OF REBATE OR COUPON - The Water District will offer rebates of $100 for new construction and $200 for replacement of existing urinals purchased after Feb 13, 2007.

 WILL THERE BE A LIMIT TO THE NUMBER OF WATERLESS URINAL REBATES A BUSINESS CAN RECEIVE? No.

WHAT KIND OF URINAL MUST I INSTALL? The URINAL must be a water free.  Any manufacturer or model is acceptable.  The following are  web sites that have information, including www.waterless.com, www.falconwaterfree.com and  http://www.zeroflush.com.

 WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE TO OBTAIN A REBATE? Simply fill out an application form.  A Water District Service man will visually inspect the finished urinal installation.  Once inspected the rebate will be processed.  Please allow 4-6 weeks for processing. 

 HOW WILL THE REBATE BE GRANTED? The customer will receive a check for the rebated amount. Please note that rebates will not be granted to customers whose water bills are in arrears.
