The Dedham-Westwood Water District’s contractor, Oliveria Construction Inc., will replace the existing water main on a portion of Oakland Terrace (from Lewis Farm Road to Veterans Road) and the entire length of Veterans Road in Dedham.
Work includes installing:
The current water main on Veterans Road and Oakland Terrace is antiquated and prone to failure.
Once the project is complete, residents will have improved water pressure and fire flow protection.
While construction is underway, access to portions of Veterans Road, Oakland Terrace, Oakland Street, Sherwood Street, Lewis Farm Road, and North Stone Mill Drive will be limited at times. However, residents, emergency vehicles, and school buses will always be allowed to pass through. The road will be open to normal traffic conditions once construction has finished for the day.
At times, residents will temporarily have their water service disrupted. The District will notify affected residents 24 hours before any planned water interruptions.
A temporary water bypass will provide all residents with water while work is being conducted.
Punch-list items. Expect minor impacts.
Work will be conducted Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
