Spring Water Main Flushing

Overview

The Dedham-Westwood Water District will begin flushing water mains via hydrants in Dedham, starting with Phase I on Monday, May 22.

Flushing operations will be conducted in Dedham for approximately six weeks, Monday-Friday, from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., rain or shine.

Four phases of flushing will occur, including:

  • Phase I, Tentatively Scheduled for Monday-Friday, May 22-26: Green Lodge Neighborhood (Greenlodge Street to Sprague Street), the Manor, Paul Park, and surrounding streets – COMPLETE!
  • Phase II, Tentatively Scheduled for Tuesday, May 30 – Friday, June 9: Oakdale Neighborhood and East Dedham – COMPLETE!
  • Phase III, Tentatively Scheduled for Monday-Friday, June 12-16: Rustcraft Road at East Street, Rt. 1/Providence Highway, Elm Street, and surrounding streets
  • Phase IV, Tentatively Scheduled for Monday-Friday, June 16-30: Riverdale Area, High Street/Rt. 109, Common Street, and West Street

Daily Flushing Overview, Phase III, Monday, June 12

Phase III will begin today. Flushing will occur on East Street (between Hamilton Avenue and Jersey Street), all surrounding side streets off of East Street (between Hamilton Avenue and Jersey Street, Elm Street, and Rustcraft Road.
